Principal’s Message
Dear Guests,
Welcome to our school website. It is my absolute pleasure to introduce our school to you.
In 1981, with the generous support and funding from the government and the Lui Ming Choi Foundation, our School Sponsoring Body, The Lutheran Church–Hong Kong Synod, founded Lui Cheung Kwong Lutheran College in Tuen Mun, driven by a deep passion for education and a commitment to spreading the Gospel. The school was named in honour of Mr. Lui Cheung Kwong, the esteemed father of philanthropist Mr. Lui Ming Choi, in recognition of his faithful devotion to the Lord. Since our founding, our dedicated teaching team has been guided by the vision of fostering balanced student development across the six domains of education — Spiritual, Moral, Intellectual, Physical, Social, and Aesthetic. We are deeply grateful that this commitment has sustained our traditions of positive school ethos and academic excellence over the years.
Our school attaches great importance to whole-person development. Through holistic curriculum planning across diverse Key Learning Areas (KLAs) and interdisciplinary collaboration, we construct a solid knowledge base for our students while cultivating a joyful, self-directed learning attitude. To cater for learner diversity, our teachers design a variety of classroom activities and assignments so as to develop different learning abilities and boost their learning motivation
The school also place strong emphasis on Life Education, nurturing students' physical, mental, and spiritual well-being through a multi-faceted approach. Beyond equipping students with Biblical truths during Religious Education lessons, we hold an annual Life-wide Learning Day featuring seminars, workshops, visits, field trips, and experiential learning activities to enrich students' learning experiences. We are equally committed to leadership development; through participation in diverse co-curricular activities, students discover their passions and uncover their potential. Furthermore, the school offers various service opportunities—such as leadership training programmes, organizing school events, community service, and overseas exchange trips—helping students build a positive self-image, self-confidence, and a sense of accomplishment.
Over the years, the school has worked actively with different stakeholders. With the steadfast support of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, foreign missionaries regularly visit our school for Gospel sharing and cultural exchanges, creating a vibrant, culturally rich campus environment. Concurrently, our school actively participates in collaborative projects organised by the Education Bureau (EDB), universities, and professional organisations. These initiatives not only bring in valuable resources and facility upgrades, but also enrich our curriculum and enhance teaching effectiveness. Furthermore, we maintain close partnerships with parents and receive strong support from our alumni, working hand in hand to nurture the positive growth of our students.
It is my sincere wish that every student of Lui Cheung Kwong Lutheran College remains ever grateful and embraces the challenges of growth with faith and perseverance, enjoying a rich, fulfilling, and rewarding secondary school life.
Ms. Christina Chui-yee Fong
